Steffany’s little boy, Breken, really loves LEGO’s; so Steff wanted to do a LEGO Birthday party for his 5th birthday. We needed it to be practical, inexpensive, and fun! We rounded up every LEGO block we could, all shapes and sizes and got building party decorations. Luckily, between the two of us, we had enough blocks to make the party happen. 🙂 The party was a BBQ pool party. We started by building basic squares to hold the utensils. We placed the utensils in cups before setting them in the LEGO’s.
Bonus: it’s so easy to find utensils, dishes, table clothes, napkins, everything in primary colors; which matches LEGO’s perfectly.
Here’s the food table just before the party. Lots of fruit served in big colored dishes we had on hand or got from the Dollar Store. Small LEGO’s displayed in clear plastic containers, as well as a couple built LEGO trucks. We also served hot dogs, chips, and cupcakes…..of course. 🙂
We made these cute LEGO man heads to go on the tops of each centerpiece; which were clear containers filled with LEGO’s. : )

White frosting, sprinkles, and adorable block candies. We made LEGO man toppers for each one. We used this free printable for the faces, then took them to Staples and had them printed on card stock. Last, we cut them out and used double sided tape and a toothpick to make each topper. They were pretty dang easy! Especially since we opted to just cut them into squares rather than cut around the LEGO man face or even into circles. Our paper cutter did the trick pretty quick!
Way cute, right? We loved them. : )
These block candies are so fun, they really click together and taste kind of like Smarties. They were a hit! (We got them at Zurchers Party store.)
Of course, we must show the Birthday boy!
Everyone had a great time and loved the LEGO theme! And really, Steff and I didn’t spend much money or time to pull the whole thing together. Win-win!
We have to mention, every year it rains on Breken’s party, and this year was looking no different. But when the dark clouds rolled in, they just rolled on by! No rain! Hooray! Such a fun party and one happy birthday boy.
