Last week we shared Steffany’s Pallet bed….minus the pallet. Today we’re excited to share the rest of the room! It is so much brighter and more welcoming with a fresh coat of paint!
We added a wainscoting on one wall to give the room that extra touch,
and because we LOVE wainscoting!
We did this board and batten wainscoting the same way we did my bedroom wall, check out the step by step tutorial HERE.
We also took down the ceiling fan and replaced it with a lower profile light fixture to help open up the space.
The other side of the room…..with the pallet bed.
All the frames above the pallet bed are thrift store finds. We spray painted one frame white and this one black. We painted the backer board in this frame with chalk paint and removed the glass. Then Steffany wrote the word ‘Read’ on the chalk. Easy!
This burlap lampshade is another thrift store find! Score! Steff had this cute silver bucket laying around and just turned it over to use as a side table.
What do you think? It’s amazing what a difference some paint can make!
