We are loving the chunky bead necklace trend for little girls. Since I have 4 girls, things can get a bit pricey in the cute and trendy department. Steff and I were determined to find a way to get some cute necklaces on my girls for less. Where do we go? Our favorite crafting spot, Hobby Lobby.
We found some cute chunky beads, they were all on sale for 50% off. Hobby Lobby is cool like that. So each necklace cost about $4! Now we’re talking! We also don’t have any fancy jewelry making skills or equipment, so these are as basic as necklaces can get.
Here’s all you need:
- Beads
- 1 mm jewelry elastic
- Hot glue gun
First, lay out the beads in the pattern and order you like.
Then string them on elastic (found down the bead aisle.)
Once all the beads are strung, tie the ends with a good square knot,
and add a dab of hot glue right on the knot.
Repeat with the other beads.
They are certainly not professional, but they are super cute! My girls, the photography, and the necklaces ha ha! 🙂 Check out these posts for some more fun girls fashions for less!
