October is such a wonderful month! The weather is beautiful (usually), the trees are taking center stage with their colorful display, and pumpkins can fill our front porches! Steff and I most definitely have a thing for pumpkins.
With pumpkins and Halloween decorating in full swing, we thought we’d bring back an oldie but a goodie post from last Halloween. We’re talking all things pumpkins with 10+ NO carve pumpkin ideas! We were featured on the local lifestyle show “Fresh Living” with all these fun pumpkins, you can check that out HERE. 🙂

If you don’t want to get messy carving your pumpkins, we’ve got you covered! We’ve come up with a whole pile of fabulous no carve ideas. We sat down and busted out just about all of these in a couple hours.
1. Nail Art spider web
Grab some yarn and carpet tacks or small nails.
Start pressing the tacks into the pumpkin in a circle shape.
Next, tie the yarn in a knot around one of the nails and wrap the yarn around the outside of the nails to get the web started. Then crisscross from nail to nail. Go crazy!
The crazier, the better! : )
Then just add some spiders!
2. Nail Art Monogram
This is a great one to have out from the start of pumpkin season through Thanksgiving!
Print a block letter for the monogram. While holding the paper in place, press the nails through the paper and pumpkin, outlining the letter.
Once the nails are all placed, just tear the paper off.
Outline the monogram with the yarn and start crisscrossing.
3. Mod podge pumpkins
Use book pages from an old thrift store book (or scrapbook paper that looks like book pages.) Tear the pages and mod podge under and over.
Add a paper bat or anything! We attached ours with some red sewing pins, we’ll remove the bat and use this pumpkin through Thanksgiving!
See our post for these book page and burlap pumpkins HERE.
4. Leaf covered pumpkin
Heat up the glue gun and get a bag of artificial leaves. We got ours from the Dollar Store! Just hot glue the leaves on until the pumpkin is covered!
Another great pumpkin to last through Thanksgiving. : )
5. Googly eyes!
This is one of our favorites! So cute-just hot glue googly eyes (Dollar store) to cover the entire pumpkin.
6. Painted polka dot pumpkin
Oh Dollar store, how we love you! These are Dollar Store pumpkins.
Spray paint them black, then use a round stenciling foam brush to press polka dots on the pumpkin.
7. Washi Tape Pumpkin
We cut our Washi Tape in half to get thinner strips, then just stuck it to the ridges of the pumpkin.
Done!
8. Thumbtack pumpkins
We love the gold on black of these thumbtack pumpkins. Once again, Dollar Store tacks; Just press them into the pumpkin.
9. Sticker Pumpkins
Envelope seals and reinforcement stickers. Such possibilities!
10. Ribbon
Is it cheating to count this one? So simple! Just tie a fun piece of ribbon around the pumpkin! Lots of fun possibilities with this too!
11. Mummy Pumpkins
Hot glue some big googly eyes onto the pumpkin.
Buy some cheesecloth (it’s cheapest bought by the yard, Walmart has it.) Cut into strips and dab hot glue in a few spots as you wrap the cheesecloth around the pumpkin and add a dab of hot glue every now and then as you wrap.
So easy and so fun!
