As most of you probably know, Steffany is expecting a little girl in April. Since it’s been nearly 7 years since her last baby and this time it’s a GIRL - a baby shower was totally in order. We had it a few weeks ago and Steff thought a headband station would be so fun to have at the baby shower - she was right! Naturally, we turned to The Ribbon Retreat for all the supplies, because they have the BEST stuff for the BEST prices. We shared this adorable baby shower headband station over on their blog already (HERE) and are so excited to share it again today - it was a HIT!
Here’s what you need:
- Lots of flowers from The Ribbon Retreat
- Fold over elastic from The Ribbon Retreat
- Felt circles or squares
- Hot glue gun
Before the baby shower, make all the headbands.
We cut the elastic to 12 inches for each headband.
Use a lighter to singe the ends to prevent any fraying.
Hot glue the ends, and the headband is done!
Also before the shower, cut lots of felt squares and rectangles for the flower clusters to be glued to.
Now for the Headband Station set up!
We placed all the pre-made elastic headbands in a cute basket, and all the felt pieces in a small bowl.
It’s a good idea to include a few completed headbands as examples. Need to know how to make cluster headbands? We found a few great tutorials from The Ribbon Retreat HERE, HERE, and HERE. We used clothespins and a chicken wire frame for the sample headbands - AND all the other headbands can be added to the frame as they are made.
Be sure plug in the hot glue gun just before the baby shower starts so it’s ready to go when the guests get in headband making mode.
A cute jar with plenty of glue sticks - we don’t want to run out! 🙂
Lots of beautiful choices!
We also had a framed picture so it was clear what this table was for.
Here’s a few headbands being made at the Baby Shower.
Look at all the beautiful headbands! This was such a fun way to get stocked up for little baby Berkley! We loved seeing all the combinations the baby shower guests came up with, and seriously-everyone LOVED it!
In our opinion, this activity beat any shower game out there. 🙂 We can’t wait to try them all out on little Berkley’s cute head!
