We have been working on a little bedroom makeover for my two older girls for the last month or so. It takes me a long time to finally finish up a bedroom makeover- life gets busy! But today we are excited to share an easy cut canvas art project with you! This project is super cute, very inexpensive, and you won’t believe how simple it is to make!
Here’s what you need:
- Blank canvas
- Scrapbook paper
- Monogram or shape to trace
- Xacto knife
- Tape
- Hot glue gun
Use your home printer to print a large monogram (or any shape). We printed ours on gray to save on ink:). The canvas we used is 11×14 so our monogram would fill it nicely.
Tape the monogram sheet to the FRONT of the canvas face down.
Now hold the canvas up to a window and trace the monogram onto the BACK of the canvas with a pencil.
Next, use an Xacto knife to cut out the monogram. We used a small block to help us cut straight.
Last, outline the monogram with some hot glue to attach the scrapbook paper.
If your kids are anything like ours, they will love some personalized art for their bedroom. And if you’re anything like us, you will love how quick you can bust this craft out!
With all the adorable scrapbook paper out there, this could really be customized to any space. The possibilities are endless!
