Father’s Day Gift Idea

Father’s Day is just a few weeks away so we thought we’d share a great Father’s Day gift idea with you today.  This is the gift Steffany gets her husband every year for Father’s Day- a family photo book of their last year.  This is most definitely not the first time you’ve heard of photo books, or giving a photo book as a gift, but it’s such a great idea - it’s worth a reminder. 😉  If you’re like me, you need a deadline or excuse to get those photos into a book.  It’s the kind of thing that is easily pushed aside without a specific deadline, and making it a yearly gift giving tradition is a perfect way to keep up.  Steffany’s husband, Lee, looks forward to getting his book every year.  I LOVE this idea!  Maybe this is the year I’ll start this tradition  too!

Steffany prints her book through shutterfly.com every year.  They always have a great promotion around holidays and she has been very happy with her books.   

Another great photo book option is Chatbooks.  Have you heard of these awesome little books?!     They turn Instagram photos into small 60 page books for just $8.  I signed up a few months ago and LOVE all my books.  They are so fun to flip through!  Check them out HERE and download the app HERE -it’s free and super easy to use.

Chatbooks include the Instagram caption, with the option to edit before printing.  You can also choose the posts you want in the book.  I have also learned you can put photos in your favorites folder (on the iphone, not sure about android) and add ‘favorites’ as a source for Chatbooks.  I love that option in case I don’t want to over-gram but want more pictures in my book.  Seriously, Chatbooks are such a great idea, wish I came up with it! 😉
