Summer is here!  That means swimming, camping, playing, hiking, biking, and even some sleeping…as in sleeping in. 🙂  I’ve gotta say, the first week of summer is a bit rough for me.  I go into it with these wonderful plans and expectations and then 3 days in I’m like whoa, whoa,  why are we all crying?!  Ha ha!  I may be  feeling a bit overwhelmed already by said plans and expectations.  There’s a little adjustment period for sure.  🙂  So, as this is the first week of summer here, and Steffany is still adjusting somewhat to life with a newborn,  we decided to bring back some of our very favorite summer posts that are sure to make your summer tastier, easier and funner!
First up:  The Apple S’more.  This is a gluten free way to eat a s’more, but whether you are gluten free or not, this version of a campfire favorite is totally amazing.  You’ve got to try it!
Still along the lines of food, check out a favorite way to cut a watermelon……..Into sticks!  Perfect for BBQ’s!

Next, an all time favorite:  GIANT BUBBLES and wands.  These bubbles were our very first Fresh Living TV segment too.  (Check out the segment in our TV Appearances tab at the top of the page:)  Our kids can’t wait to do these bubbles again.
For rainy days or when the dreaded “I’m bored,” phrase creeps up, try this Magic Art for Kids.  We’ll be doing this again in the next week or two.  My 7 year old Lila LOVES this activity!
Do not fill up one more water balloon until you check out our DIY Water Balloon Pump! Â Best idea ever. Â Probably. Â Seriously though, we have used these over and over. Â I just used them last week and shared a pic on Instagram.
Now, another great rainy day activity/treat with the kids. Â We actually made a whole bunch of these Jolly Rancher Lollipops for the kids to sell along with lemonade. Â They loved making them, selling them, and eating them.
And last, DIY sidewalk chalk.  Yes it’s probably cheaper and definitely easier to buy sidewalk chalk, but making it is super cool.  The kids loved choosing the colors they wanted,  helping with the whole process, then getting to use the chalk they made.  It’s kind of like a science project, and it worked really well!
There we go!  Some of our favorite summer time posts.  We hope you love them as much as we do. And we sure hope your enjoying your summer so far…..or at least adjusting, like I’m trying to do. 🙂
