If you’re looking for some simple decorations for Valentine’s Day, we’ve got you covered! These cute Valentine blocks and Printables are a perfect craft to whip up in no time. We’ve got two sets of printables available for you to choose from: a pastel set and a black and white set. Head over to our Printables page to download the prints you want. Let’s get to the tutorial-these blocks are super easy!
Here’s what you need:
- One 4×6 wood block
- One 3×4 wood block
- Wood finial
- Paint
- Foam brush
- Elmers glue
- Valentine Printables (HERE)
- Bakers twine
- Sanding block (optional)
Start by painting the sides of the blocks. That way you can rotate it around as you paint, then lay it down and paint the back.
Since the front will be covered with the printable, you only need to paint a little around the edges.
Next, paint Elmers glue onto the front of the blocks.
Place the printable onto the block and press, smoothing out any bubbles.
Once the glue is dry (about 10 minutes) you can sand the edges if desired.
Paint the wood finial white and glue it to the top of the small block.
Last, tie a piece of bakers twine around the finial and these cute Valentine blocks and printables are ready for display!
