Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today we’re popping in to share this cute Lucky Dice craft…..there’s a little saying- “better late than never.” Ha ha! Let’s apply that saying right now. 🙂 This has been a really popular craft for our at home craft parties. To learn more about how you can have a fun and EASY craft night with your friends click HERE.
Let’s get to it!
Here’s what you need:
- One 5×7 block
- Two 4×4 blocks
- Black polka dots
- “Lucky” vinyl
- Green paint
- White paint
Once you’ve got your supplies gathered, this is a super easy project! Of course, to use vinyl you will need access to a vinyl cutter. We used our Silhouette Cameo to cut ours. Weed the vinyl and apply transfer tape.
Start by painting the wood. Paint the 5×7 block green and the dice white.
Next, add the vinyl.
Place the clear transfer tape onto the block and press the letters down with a vinyl presser or a credit card.
Peel away the transfer tape. Now for the dice! This is the really fun part! This is also possibly the most interesting part of this whole tutorial. Did you know the dots on opposite sides of a die all add up to 7?! We didn’t….until we wanted to craft up some dice and have them be accurate.
So the 1 is opposite of the six
Super interesting right? Maybe you already knew that and we’re just late for the party-haha.
Once your dots and vinyl are on this baby is done! So cute and so fast. We think it’s a really fun spin on a St. Patrick’s Day craft.
