Nothing like a little loving humor to make the never ending task of laundry feel a little less daunting. Let’s be honest, we’ve all said something like this right?! This funny laundry sign can help with the talking now! Crafting with a purpose-haha!
Some paint and vinyl is all it takes to get this sign on display.
What’s in your kit:
- Vinyl
- Paint
- Brush
- Wood*
*If you ordered a kit without wood, you will need a wood block that is 7 in. by 9 in.
How to make it:
Step 1- Paint:
Start by painting the block. We always recommend starting with the sides, then lay the wood flat to paint the front. Once the front is dry, turn it over and paint the back. If you paint more than one coat, make sure each coat is completely dry before painting another.
Step 2-Vinyl:
Once the paint is completely dry, it’s time for vinyl! Peel away the blue backing, leaving the words on the clear transfer tape. Place the vinyl words on the block and press using a vinyl squeegee or a credit card. Then slowly peel away the clear transfer tape. We have found it works best to roll the the transfer tape away at a steep angle. If you’re brand new to vinyl we have a more detailed tutorial HERE.
