Hi there crafty friends! We’re so happy you got this clip frame and Mother’s day block kit. Whether you’re keeping it for yourself or giving it away as a gift, it’s a sweet and versatile addition to just about any space. This is an easy craft, you’ll have it finished in no time! Everything you need is included in your kit, except a sanding block. Start by painting the large block white. Be sure to paint ALL the sides of this one.
Also paint the candlestick and the finial white. (We’ll be painting over them with gray in a bit to get that perfect chippy look.)Paint the small block gray. We always suggest painting the sides first, that way you can rotate the block around while painting. Then set it down to paint the back. You will only need to paint a little around the edges of the front since it will be covered with a print. Now paint the candlestick and the finial gray as well. Also paint the clothespin. There is no trick or easy way to paint the clothespin, your hands will get messy. 😉Let the paint dry completely and twist the finial into the hole. Then glue the clothespin to the block. Leave the clothespin in place with the block lying flat until the glue is dry. While the clothespin is drying in place, paint some glue onto the small block and lay the Mother’s Day print on it.Smooth and press, then place it face down to dry.Last, put some glue on the top of the candlestick and center the block on it.Use a sanding block to sand the away some of the gray paint. Sand as much or as little as you like!Done! This is a great way to switch out printables, or photos to match the season!
